What is MOCAM?
Welcome to MOCAM, your Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Activity Manager, an online application and review system. Pediatricians who are maintaining certification with the ABP now have more choices than ever about how to gain the credit they need. The ABP offers several paths to MOC Part 4 including credit for publications describing a QI Project; a Small Group Quality Improvement project; NCQA PCMH recognition.
2016 Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted by December 1 to allow time for processing in time for the December 15 MOC cycle deadline. Note that incomplete or insufficient information on applications will delay the review process and may jeopardize approval and credit upload by the MOC cycle deadline.
Once all applications submitted by December 1 have been processed, those submitted after December 1 will be placed in queue for review but processing before the deadline is not guaranteed.
Sponsor groups have two approaches available:
- Seek approval for individual activities such as a Part 2 self-assessment, Part 4 web-based activities or Part 4 QI Projects
- Become a Portfolio Sponsor if the organization is developing and managing multiple Part 4 QI Projects
